  • RC Hotel Corfu ......any good for families ???

Not taken my kids away since 2007 and the idea of the rc hotel just popped into my head lol.

Has anybody been with their children and is there stuff to keep them occupied whilst Daddy fills his boots it would just be me and my two youngest girls aged 9 and 13.

Neither are girly girls and they like fishing etc too

So is it a suitable place that has other stuff to do ????

    - Went on Spring Break this year with my 15yr old son (wife and daughter did not fancy it, so they stayed at home). My son enjoyed himself, but then he was flying (and crashing) RC planes.
    - Mike Edders was there with his family along with Rob Turnbull and Mike's family seemed to enjoy it.
    - The owner (Spiros) is trying to pitch it for families and there is a swimming pool, table tennis table and pool table there.
    - Atmosphere is good as it feels more like a family than your usual holiday. Also you're with a whole load of like minded people.
    - Owner / Staff very friendly. Meals were good when we were there.
    - Has a charging station / workshop at the field.

    Negative aspects:

    - Siesta : You are not allowed to fly for 3-4 hours in the middle of the day due to Siesta - the best time to fly - flying is restricted to either end of the day.
    - Field : It's OK, but due to it's orientation the sun can be problematic and get in your eyes.
    - I assume it can get busy when full and flying could be limited as you will have plane and heli pilots taking turns.

    Hope that helps,

    Paul

I have been there a few times now. And really enjoy it, there have been families there whine we have been there and they all seem to enjoy it as well, great pool, and there are daily trips if you want to get off site, you can also (subject to availability) hire a car from Spiros, food is great (BBQ is awesome)
I know there are several people on here who take families and go back time after time, all in all a great holiday

I went this year and really enjoyed it. Although I am pleased I didn't take the wife or lad with me as I know they would've got bored very quickly. The pool is fantastic, but that's about all there is for them during the day. The local town is pretty poor and isn't really within walking distance for youngsters.
As a flying holiday, it's superb and I echo all the positive comments above.
