Im very chilled.
As much as i am boring you, you are irritating me with your bizarre deflecting and subject changing when a valid point is made against something you have said...
So i will let it go as you say
to avoid any bun fighting as Kev has commented on.

What he said ....Originally posted by KevDavies View PostWhy the hell are we bun fighting???
I buy from very respected members on here, I wont buy from people ive not had a good rapport with, or know personally. And I have voluntarily banned myself from selling. Therefore I can not get accused again of bad trading.
Its simple really, use some common sense when buying and selling, and if a sale falls through, just dont let it get to ya. The whole country is on its arse, Just because you cant sell toy helicopter bits wont make a blind bit of difference!
We all need to lighten up!

I think this is covered in The Rules..:
Rule 1: The deal is the deal. The conditions of the deal will not be changed after it has been confirmed.

Listing fee then 10%final value then same again on postage then 5% on the amount that hits the PayPal account.
It's just way too much now. Final insult was the mail costs.

Trouble is eBay have the audience - gumtree/forums etc dont reach as far. Tend to find people asking for more £££ on forums which is why people use eBay. eBay also protects the buyer far more than the seller (IMO)
Advantages of gumtree/forums (for buyer) is that they get to see the item before they pay up and therefore they can pull out too - all in all the seller just seems to get screwed either way!!
Only way around it - charge enough on eBay to cover the costs of sale and take home what you want, and you are, in majority of cases, relatively likely the buyer will pay up.

I never had a problem paying for eBay fees - they provide a service that I am happy to pay for - I always thought the practice of selling something for below market price and making up the difference was a taking the mickey, but it does sound as if they want their pound of flesh in every stage of the process now ....

The ground rules that are set out on this forum have been well thought out and have been put into place for the right reasons ,along with the sale/wanted section having moderators over looking what is going on 24/7 , how ever ,in no way is the owner/runners of this forum responsible for any actions of the people buying/selling.
First the seller must take full responsibility for what he/she is selling and as we all know the price of any thing new is not cheap and when it comes to selling some thing the very first thing that needs to be looked at is the safety of the item and if you was buying it would you be happy with it. As it has already been said the price of second hand stuff is very poor and its gotten to the point that people expect to see some thing sold at X price as that is what Joe blogs sold it at and there for the price trend has been set,due to the person really needing the money. So to be honest it is down to every one to set the price trend of second hand items higher. The next important thing is after concluding that the item is safe and condition is good to pass on is the description and pictures and honesty.
Know one is responsible for how you word/describe the item in the add apart from YOU!!
Buyers, it is your responsibility to first make sure you want the item /can afford the item / and make clear that you fully understand the description and cover any question you have before you pay and you and the seller are happy as to how to move forward in the buying/ payment/sending/and if you wish for a pink ribbon on the parcel state this.
At no time are the people that run this forum responsible for any actions that happen in a sale it is by there choice only to let us have a sale section to help others so we dont have to pay third party fees. so please be honest and responsible with the sale /wanted section as im sure it can be taken away from the forum in a blink of a eye!!!!Last edited by smokingtommy; 09-09-2013, 10:54 PM.
