I'm afraid unless it's an up to date part or Heli, eBay will yield you in general more money. I sold a GY401 for £40 and a Spektrum DX7SE + Case for £120. You guys/gals all know far too much about what Helis/parts are worth .

I think i would respect their decision more if they were to simply say they have had a change of heart. Ultimately coming up with any kind of excuse to justify says to me that they know what they are doing is a bit naughty. So try to explain it away by slightly tugging on the emotional heart strings of the other party.... my leg fell off... my boiler exploded... i've got Rigor mortis... A big crow stole my grandma... Ridiculous and extreme examples but you get the point

It can also be a little insulting to the intelligence. Just say you have had a change of heart, sorry to bother you and thanks for your help. No need to get deep about anything. As a seller i would rather not know about personal circumstances anyway. Not my business

At present selling second hand helicopters and spares is getting increasingly difficult and prices have dropped considerably. Basically your getting very little in return for second equipment despite the cost new. What makes it worse is people agreeing to purchase goods and then backing out at he last minute due to unforeseen circumstances. As you all know my Logo 700 is up for sale and I had a member contact me on here wishing to purchase it, he even asked would I consider selling the helicopter with the Kosmik too. Yes yes and yes ! However it now transpires that they found out his wife was pregnant which changes everything and they now need the money to buy prams etc. etc. ! "BUT" because he felt guilty about letting me down at the last minute he would buy the Kosmik off me as consolation gesture lol ! Absolute time waster !

i never said names i said personal details ie pregnant wife. You can all nit pick but it is something we all encounter and we just deal with it and move on.

i never said you did, but you did mention personal details. i think his wife being pregnant can be construed as personal.

I just got screwed by rm for £20.10 to post 2 tx's and that is something to be unhappy about. ebay also now charge 10% on postage costs which i did not know.

You cannot tell me in any degree of seriousness that you have a problem with him saying that someones wife is pregnant without actually naming the person? Without the context of the individual involved what relevance does it hold? None, zero.

You are the one that is nit picking to try and back out of making a ridiculous comment directed at a legitimate gripe about time wasters. At the end of the day, the reason you do not really agree with us is because maybe you have pulled out of a few sales in the past yourself and given excuses??!

I buy from very respected members on here, I wont buy from people ive not had a good rapport with, or know personally. And I have voluntarily banned myself from selling. Therefore I can not get accused again of bad trading.

Its simple really, use some common sense when buying and selling, and if a sale falls through, just dont let it get to ya. The whole country is on its arse, Just because you cant sell toy helicopter bits wont make a blind bit of difference!

Unfortunately, I guess you can blame the people who were listing stuff crazy low and putting the profit in the 'postage' to avoid the ebay fees
