  • Blade 450x set up problem

Can anybody give me abit of advice,I have a Blade 450X I have set it up as per instructions after a crash I replaced 2 new servo as I think they were damaged in the crash as will as Blades,Main Gear and Tail boom, and have reset the BeastX as per the instructions, problem I have is that when the 450X is spooling up and about to lift off the ground instead of going straight up it surges to the right and the Blades hit the ground (just as if you have inputted full right aileron) I have gone through the set sequence three time!! but it still does exactly the same,I not sure now whether to burn it!! or persevere with it and try and get it to fly.

sounds like a possible vibration problem , causing it to tip ??
have you checked your mainshaft/tail shaft from your previous crash ??

          Blade 450x set up problem

Check on the bench with motor disconnected:
When you push the collective up, all three servos go up.
Then check if the fbl compensates in the right direction.

You have to go through the set up menu ensuring wverything is exactly as it should be. Re level swash. Check servo directions with stick inputs and gyro correction direction. I changed the servo in mine and all the set up changed.

Just read that the servos were exact replacements. Swash level or vibrations is my guess.

Yep,have checked that, all three go up,and fbl compensates in the direction.

Spool up without main and tail blades and check for any vibes or unwanted swash movements would be my next move then.

I have double checked everything, all seems ok,reset the Beast x,went to fly it does exactly the same thing as before, but I have noticed that just as the Heli starts to lift off the ground the right servo is (viewed from the back) moving down which is what is causing the Heli to tip to the right on take off.is this a servo problem ie needs replacing or something in the set up procedure I am doing wrong?

Could be the bx mount tape, i had a similar problem out of the blue on my g500 and worked the problem back to the mounting pad/tape.

In what way? Do I need to put thicker tape under it or just replace it with a new pad?

Have a read of this thread:

                              http://www.rcheliaddict.co.uk/sab-he...n-500-a-2.html

i think the bx pad thickness is more prone to vibs then the maplins one. The tape is only cheap so worth trying.
