Which do i flybarless first ?

Hi . I have the opportunity to get a FBL set for one of my helis as a present

So which should I do ?T rex 600 nitro or 500

I also need to know what to get as my TX is a Hi tec aurora 9

I'm not really very good yet so don't really need to go fbl but hey its not gonna cost me , the 500 don't get flown much due to wind and I feel more comfortable with the 600 in wind as it is .

Any links will help for where to get the bits from as its not me buying them and they will need wrapping for my birthday

600n every day, like chalk and cheese going from flybar to less. You won't believe how bad it is with a flybar

Agree do the 600 and use a Spartan Vortex. Granted ive not flown another but I can say the Vortex is sublime, as you would expect from a Spartan product!

I second the VX1 a fair bit cheaper from hobbyking Spartan Vortex VX1 Flybarless Helicopter Control System w/DataPod Built in gov for nitro and I would FBL the 600.

I wouldn't waste a V Bar or Vortex on a 600, go for a BeastX or similarly priced unit unless you're loaded. Ive got a Turnigy 3D-H on mine and it's jsut as good

I suspect the Aurora won't be supported direct but you can always fit an external Rx and use it that way

By the looks of it the 600 is already flying so the OP already has a receiver. More the point of making sure the fbl unit supports the rx to keep the cost to a minimum.
