  • Revolectrix "Diamond Label" battery

Any one has any experience with Revolectrix "Diamond Label" battery, looks at following link, the figures are awesome:
    Diamond 60C : Diamond 5000 6s XH

The OptiPower battery has always been good for me, but for a £10 less on the price and higher charge/discharge rate (5000mAh, 6s), I am really attempting to try it out, just wondering if any one has any experiences on Revolectrix battery (I know Revolectrix PL charger is good~~~).

    Many thanks

2 months warranty vs 6 months on Opti and a 50% crash offer up to 6 months on Opti.

Not sure I'd risk 'saving' £10 on that comparison.

I also wouldn't expect you to see any difference in use between a claimed 50C and a claimed 60C as for charging at 3C vs 6C, 3C are you actually finding 3C to be a limitation?

I can see the point in buying packs a lot cheaper than Opti, but not much point in just saving £10 I'd have thought ...

      Hi Mark_T,

      Thanks for your reply.

I have no single doubt about OptiPower, neither ask for a comparison in between, be course I don't want to start an argument.

All I wish to know is if anyone has any experience on Revolectrix battery, so I can have some first hand idea about it, before I make a decision on whether it is worth for me to try.

I took a look at them a while back and read most people are pretty happy with them altho optipower seem to be the popular choice (perhaps due to all their marketing!)

          Not interested in arguing either

Treat my reply as addressing your reasons for being tempted and why perhaps what you'd be giving up isn't worth the £10 saving ...

I hope you find someone with direct experience who can comment on the Diamond packs.

Those who have been around on here for a while will know that the Revolectrix packs were heavily promoted on here by a lot of well known pilots in the past. And they were very good.
I am still running some red label revolctrix packs that are at least 4 years old, maybe 5 - and they are still good for some 3D flight on my trex500.
I had a platinum 3S for my 450 that was very powerful, but didn't last anything like as long in terms of cycle life.

After all the cheap hobbyking bats started to flood into uk it seemed Revolectrix stopped promoting their packs for model use.

            These new packs look interesting.
Maybe now revolectrix have picked up a new technology cell...
..and now they offer them with the XH balance plug. Previously they always came with the plug that fits the revolectrix charger.

I think this is down to the complicated relationship in the UK between Revolectrix, Aurorra & OptiFuel/OptiPower.

AIUI, Aurorra are Revolectrix in the UK; and, some years back, were supplying Revolectrix packs & (Cellpro) chargers to the model market.

I think they withdrew from direct sales; leaving OptiPower distributing Cellpro chargers, as well as selling OptiPower packs. (Aurorra were selling to other markets, such as electric vehicle systems, I believe).

Aurorra are now direct selling Revolectrix products to the UK model market (packs & chargers), with OptiPower still as above.

              I think...

I also think that the Revolectrix packs are a premium product; the price only being lower because they're direct sold, and they're not sponsoring people.

I've bought some platinum packs - but can't tell you how they perform as I haven't got around to using them yet. They look reassuringly plain, though...
