After rebuild I seem to be confused with the Gyro standard HL400 before new servos like for like Jp the gyro setting has gone from 66% to 30% any one give the reason why this has happend?
At 66% the Storm just spins anticlockwise. Thanks!

Spinning should not happen unless you have the gyro reversed, at too high a gain the heli should oscillate from side to side.

Another reason for the heli spinning could be that if its a belt drive (never had a Storm 400, so don't know if it is) you could have the belt twisted the wrong way, check which way the tail rotor spins when you turn the main rotor...

The reason for going from 66% to 30% could be you've not used the same hole on the servo horn.

If you're talking about the gyro sense or sensitivity then that just switches modes. Less than 50% is rate and more than 50% is hold. You can check the gyro without flying the model. Just turn the model and make sure that a left turn gives right and a right turn gives left. If you are in rate mode the heli shouldn't turn at all if the tail is set up. If it is turning the force is in the wrong direction. Twisted belt, as above is favourite, but I think it's possible to get the links wrong on the tail as well so the tail gets pushed the wrong way.

Thanks for the sound advice, I've reset gyro & tail now at 70% HH.
The only problem I have is it wants to go left and having to hold on the stick or trim quite a way over right, but flyable,
Now using Eflite G110 gyro I know it's weak but it works. Cheers guys!

Check your tail geometry, with the stick centred and in rate mode you should be at about 7-8 degrees pitch on the tail with the servo centred, and have about equal movement either side of that if not then that is probably why your heli is trying to piro.

If you had a proper gyro in hold mode the geometry isn't critical. Either your gyro is in rate mode or it isn't a proper gyro. I started on the Twister Storm and they called the gyro a competition one. It was a competition to keep the tail steady. Good gyros are cheap now. There are Futaba 401s going cheap as people convert to flybarless. The Assan 250 for less than £10 is good as well.
