Ive had the worst ever luck with glowplugs this week....
On wednesday I left the glowstarter in my 700 while flying and after a bit of flying it unscrewed itself into 3 bits and fell put of the canopy hole (didnt find the third bit!)
So... I order a remote glow (gryphon tinyboost or whatever its called) and when it arrived I removed the glowplug to test it... except I then dropped the glowplug and it broke lol.
Went out and got another os 8 glowplug and tried it on the starter... burnt out instantly...! Bought another and it worked once and then again burnt out :/
So my question is, is the remote starter faulty or are they not designed to stepdown the voltage from a 2s lipo? Or have I been very unlucky with glowplugs? How can I test if it works without going through another £6 plug?
Also to save having to make another thread how do I attatch the lead to the glowplug its a crocodile clip and a metal fork thing. Does the crocodile clip just clip on (looks like it will fall off) and the fork get held in on an engine screw?
Thanks and sorry for any stupid qs
