How to remove a stripped screw?

Hi

I was attempting to remove the clutch from my 700n dfc today and I managed to strip one of the shallow bolts that screws into the frame and YS120... It's red locktighted in and Ive tried dremelling a slit but that doesnt work the screwdriver keeps slipping. Ive tried heating the screw with a 100w soldering iron but it still wont come out :/ Anyone got any ideas?uploadfromtaptalk1376514537431.jpg

Can you remove the rest of the screws and then twist the mounting to maybe undo it ?

I tried doing that but the plastic fan/clutch assembly allows very little rotation and the engine also hits the frame so cant be moved much :/

Drill the head of the screw off then you can get mole grips on the exposed thread once the frame is out of the way

Probably need to get the rest of the head to shear off now by carefully using the dremel and continously going across the head with out touching the frame.
You'll need to replace the engine mount of course.

I don't think now that you have much hope of getting the bolt out.

tighten all the other screws back up its a good idea to fit normal allen screws as they will come back out
then increase the size of the slot to a good fitting screw driver reheat and try again
once out throw the align cheese away fit the lynx washers and allen screws

Thanks I will try largening the slit first and if that doesnt work will file off the head and try to get to the thread.

Red locktite is designed not to be undone. Does it have to be red here. I dont recall using red before on a nitro built tbh but then that was a while ago??

Heat is your friend also. Hot air gun, 630deg C, booyaa

I wouldn't use red locktite here personally especially with those Align bolts.
I've had trouble with them even using the blue stuff.

cut another slot then use a big screwdriver give the screwdriver a few smacks with a hammer while in the slot to shock the Loctite use a lot of downward force while you turn and it will come out
