    ??????????
We don't see them now because the cretinous mods in their infinite (infinitely small) wisdom have hidden them from the masses in case any of us dare to think about anything other than stupid 3D flip-flaps with a silly plastic toy heli...
Tyere is actually more to life than flirro-pips, and I wanna see what it tastes like...

You have obviously got something to say DillWhacker so instead of ruining other members threads why not start a thread airing your issue in main discussion.

WTF?????!!!!!!! That post seems out of character for you if you don't mind me saying mate, unless i have got you wrong. Is everything ok? genuinely

I for one am glad that the type of thread you are referring to does not have a place on the main forum.

If you want to get deep about something other than heli's why not go to the pub? This is a helicopter forum.

Back on topic.... I find i loose interest if i am not pushing myself. Well not so much loose interest, more get disheartened and annoyed at myself to the point where i think whats the point of flying if i'm not doing new things. Even if its something very small. It can suddenly create a link between certain moves and you become impressed with your own flying again. Its got to be rewarding for me to enjoy it. But 99 per cent of the time it is.

I love hammering a new move on the sim for a week then trying it the next session. Good way to keep interest. I don't like it if i have dead air in my flying.... where you come out of a move into a neutral hover to think about what to do next.... Thats when i know i need to crack another move or milestone

I never have these thoughts really cos Im always chopping and changing so always something to keep my interest alive and fresh.

But I could not fly on my own too much as most of the fun is getting down the field, taking the pee out of everyone there.

I too seem to have no real interest lately. I haven't flown anything for a good few months now exept for my little 130x, if it wasn't for that little heli i would be out looking for another bike or a kit car!

Not as keen as I used to be

It's funny but apart from 2 packs on a 450, I've not flown since my logo went in 6 weeks ago. I've got another now but it's sat on the table unflown and I really can't be arsed at the mo. a few other life issues have taken precedent recently and I don't have the ' fire in the belly ' I thought I would when I ordered it ........no doubt it will return........hopefully lol

There will always be periods where you lose interest, usually only temporarily ,its just human nature. You will be kidding yourself if you feel you should be interested or wanting to fly 24/7 365 days a year. It's comes in waves. I think some jump the gun and sell up too quickly.

Well, I already had my span of a few weeks of low motivation but I am back in action now, only the weather and engineering works on the trains holding me back. About a couple months ago it began, I just had less enthusiasm and wasn't enjoying it like I used to. I was still going out to fly, almost just out of force of habit, but I started to realise I was not getting the buzz I used to. And oddly, this came at a time when I had one of the best flying helis I have owned yet and the weather was warm and sunny. So I took a little break and didn't fly for about three weeks or so and then started again. Having said that I haven't flown the last couple weekends because work on the trains has stopped me getting anywhere on Sundays and it just seemed I wasn't fired-up enough to go out Saturday instead, or the weather wasn't quite as nice etc. so maybe I'm still not as keen as I used to be (and I know this is not least because it's a bloody hassle for me to get to the field).

There is always some new stuff to learn. If anything I wish I had more time to fly, not enough stick time this season (due to various reasons, mainly being unlucky with the weather), done about 100 flights only on my proper machines, unfortunately. I think it helps that I am not into collecting and building helis. I really like to met up with club people at the field.

Having said that, I am not crazy about this hobby, never been (maybe except first couple of months), it's good fun and I have really casual approach to it, that probably will keep me going for years.

Get yourself along to the RCHA flyin as well, im sure that will give you some motivation to get going again.
I flew on my own for near enough my first year in the hobby. I then met a great group of rc enthusiasts and my flying just seemed to sky-rocket after. Although I have flown solo occassionally there is definitely another element to the hobby when you consider the social aspect. I would find it too boring now flying on my own all the time.
