  • Mcpx binding question

Hey I've just bought a mcpx as practised a lot on sim one question tho when I bind it, it flies fine but if I turn the tx off and go to fly it later on I have to bind the mcpx each time by holding trainer is this normal or should it bind automatically.

    many thanks

Should bind straight away, may be tx is too far away

Hello -- Newbie myself, I have the MCPX and it works perfectly with the Dx6i, are you disconnecting the battery before you switch Tx off? If so it should remember its 'binding' but there are real experts on here who may have a more comprehensive idea and solution!!

Are you turning the transmitter on first? I believe some mcpx's did have an issue with losing bind.

Basically everytime I come to fly it ill connect the battery in and turn on the tx on but the blue light stays flashing so I turn off tx hold down the train button and re bind it, should I just turn on the tx and it binds automatically without doing this everytime?

Always switch on TX first, wait a few seconds then connect flight battery.

If you connect flight battery THEN switch on TX it will be in bind mode.

To bind plug in battery to model, push bind button in and turn on radio until blue light goes solid and model sets.

As others have said - turn TX on FIRST, only then plug the battery into the heli.

After you plug the battery in to the heli, you need to leave it still for a while to allow the gyros to initialise. If you move it around, the longer it takes. Plug the LIPO in, put it down and leave it still. It should initialise in about 3 seconds.

The "TX First on, Last off" lesson was a good one to learn at this early stage, doing it the wrong way round at a later stage in your career- with a BIG heli could have proved most painful, both physically and financially!! My first heli was a CenturyUK Neon Blaze, what a heap of .........it was bad enough to nearly convince me I should give up in this hobby. The golden rule regarding switching on before connecting battery ......etc.....was buried away on about page 5 of the manual and in my excitement I didn't get to that bit until it was too late. I was lucky to escape with weals and bruises. I reckon the rule should be in large red print on the box or first page of any heli that's aimed at novices.
