  • Aerial question on Trex 450 plus

    Hi All

A couple of threads I have read recently have got me a bit concerned. I bought my 450 plus as an RTF and the aerial lead is only about 2cm long sticking out of the rx. Is this normal, so far I have only been teaching myself to hover in the back garden so no real range involved.

    Thanks for your help

You will lose control quite often, but you'll probably not notice it. My 130-X works happily up to 30 metres in range test mode. You can test the range by hovering within about 4 foot of the ground at a distance. If you do lose control the motor will cut and you'll land gently. Most crashes are due to all the other reasons.

By loss of signal I mean a frame or number of frames. As the fail safe ignores these frames you need to lose a lot before you notice, especially as the odd bit of turbulence does odd things.
