.....trade in your two big align helis (my 550 and 600n) that fly well enough, for a new shiny logo 550sx with all the right bits on, that, from what I have witnessed, flys brilliantly!
(it cant be panos's flying thats that smooth surely, so I have to put it down to the logo!)

both would need to go to fund the logo, so whats best, a couple of fun, practical, affordable runabouts, or that shiny new and expensive to mend, sports car of the heli world?

help me decide please.....

edit...the right bits will include an hc3sx/bavarian demon bailout!

I own a Logo 600 3D and an Align 550, I think they both fly brilliantly but I never push it with the Logo. The Logo is super smooth and flies like a much bigger machine, but I don't think my flying would progress if I only had the Logo.

Personally I don't think its worth it, but once the idea is in your head, you will probably end up going that way.

If you're a hot-shot 3D expert then the logog might be a stepping stone to something even better. If you hardly ever crash then it may be nice to own. Otherwise why lose 2 for 1 for the sake of a bit of bragging-rights and higher costs?

You currently have two helis in flyable condition. I have a 600 and several at our club have 550s.

Several have logos too, which certainly fly lovely in the right hands. Im not ready for a logo yet, I dont think it would make much of a difference to me.......

I wouldnt be swapping two perfectly good helis, for one. It reduces your options, and if the unthinkable happens, increases your downtime.... just ask Don about that

certainly nothing to do with bragging, just looking for a really nice flying experience (I will never go bigger than a single 5000mah 6cell pack! so no suggestions that use bigger packs please)

the logo will be a super nice machine , they are not that expensive on parts, but I would try and keep the 600N as thats an awesome every day machine .
so in my view get rid of the 550 the logo is just in another dimension !!!

I did exactly what you are contemplating and sold my 550 and 600 for a 550 sx.

The logo is another level ! The only real mistake I made was selling the 600 as it was solid and reliable and now that I've binned the logo I only have my toy 450 pro to fly
I have never had to do a rekit before as there was pretty much nothing left to salvage. In all honesty it went in so hard I doubt any Heli would have survived but @ £429 definitely my most expensive crash !!

Would I get another ???.......Hell yeah !!

So to sum up mate, get a logo and keep the 600 I wish I had

Just to throw out an idea, if your ultimate plan would be to have the Logo with the H3CSX then how about getting the H3CSX first and put it on the 550 and see how it flies compared to the BeastX.

I really think these days what makes the biggest difference in flight characteristics is the FBL controller.

I would love a logo 550 as well but with all helis airworthy in the fleet I might not have the chance to fly it often. Im already having hard time alternating which heli to fly first.

Part of the issue for me is, after owning aligns for a while now, I have realised that you are to some degree always chasing an issue with the heli. A bearing has destroyed itself prematurely, new replacement parts let you down, and you always feel like the next problem is just around the corner. Dont get me wrong, they have given me lots of fun (just like my blade 400 did when i started) but now I am finding the quality an issue, and wondering how much better the next step is in terms of the overall experience with another step up in quality.

trouble is, that 450's just dont cut the mustard after you have flown bigger helis, and they are crap in the wind, and feel much more of a "toy" than a bigger bird, but anyway, this is not really the issue under debate here
