I wasn't sure whether to put this post in Vbar, Kontronik, Logo, or Synergy sub forum, sorry.
I've been having major trouble with my 2 helis and don't know where to look next!! Please bear with me, as I'm going to try to give as much info as poss haha
First the Synergy E5 (TT tail): had a "loose" tail wag, which I got rid of with higher H/S, but then got a quicker wag. Set gyro control to Tx and decreased gain until it kind of stopped, but not great, any lower and the tail would not hold well at all. Before I could sort this problem, the heli kept shutting down and dropping out of the sky?? At first I thought it was LV cutoff, so set the ESC (castle ice2 80 HV) to 2v/cell. Tried it out again, same result, shutdown and resulting prang. To cut a long story short, out of 5 flights since I bought it(S/H), it's dropped out the sky 4 times, repair costs mounting now lol. I had a look at the esc log and on the last flight, H/S was 2100 min - 2400 max, max amp draw was 92.1A and temp was 78 deg, so well within the esc power capabilities. I have been told by Castle creations tech help that I should be running a 120A esc with the scorpion motor??, but they would hahaha. Just FYI, I am running this on on esc governor, although tried with it off and same power loss problem.
The last shut down I was doing a roll, got 2/3rds of the way round and blades pretty much stopped, no blades, no chance of control!!
Second is the logo: This was flying fine, apart from a fairly violent tail wag when coming out of a flip( mainly back flips), I could live with it, but a pain all the same. I tried doing the same as the synergy (Tx gyro control) and tail holds fine, but for aforementioned wag. Now it seems to have developed a similar problem to the Synergy, in that it has lost power 3 times in the last 6 lipos??? Aha, thought I, it must be the radio, so I've bound it to my mates Tx (also Dx8) and it seems to be fine with barrel rolls, slow flips,piros etc, etc. but wierdly, the last 2 occassions it has lost power, I've been holding it inverted for a minute or 2, flipped her back (tail thwap ensues) followed shortly after(not immediately) by the shutdown??? the wierd thing is, unlike the synergy, it has (luckily) spooled back up and I've managed to save it to land straight away!! Could this be the Vbar shutting things down, due to severe vibration?? Pardon my ignorance, but I've not had one before this, sorry!
I must add that the tail thing has only started after a total loss of power, caused by tone/vibrate set on Dx8(apparently a no no when using Vbar, see manual lol). I rebuilt it, new tail boom and struts, main and feather shaft, main and tail blades etc and have since checked bearings for play and no loose screws etc?? I had done at least 30 flights since the rebuild with the odd flip tail wag, but no shut downs?? It will do an inverted rainbow with no wag??
The only common denominators now, are both have Vbars?? Logo with2 dsm2 sats and Synergy with 2 dsmx sats?? Any other Ideas please
, I'm completely stumped (not too hard), but I'm getting kind of fed up with the repair bills and have nowt else to fly
