    cheap ish go pro black editions

    just picked a go pro 3 back edition up for 269.99 doesn't seem a bad price as they are full retail nearly every where els should be interesting to try one out

          Boils down to no warranty support from UK distributor, if that doesn't bother you then it is a decent price.

            dont have a clue what a grey import is unless your meaning a dodgy shipment of some sort but i dont have a clue tbh all i know is its an alright price so i got one

              Sorry, I know what the term 'means' but what I meant was, what is it?.... which doesnt help at all.

              There are a million and one shades of grey.

              Most manufacturers offer a worldwide warranty, but most require good to be returned via the seller e.t.c.

              Regardless of where the item was imported from, the seller in this country is still bound by the various rules and regs, including honouring any warranty that they give.... the problem of course is chasing after them for it...

                basically the guys you bought from pretend to be a UK source for the goods, but they are not really in the UK at all, they are USA based in this case I think.

                So you don't have any of the usual uk consumer protection laws to fall back on, or local warranty support etc.

                if it works ok then it really doesn't matter, but if it goes wrong it can get messy ...

                  Problem with most of these sellers is that there isn't actually a UK entity at all.
