I have always been told to setup my tails using rate mode for best performance.
the problem I have with this is that the tail pitch slider is in the middle of the shaft when at 0 degrees pitch so that when the end points are adjusted then there is pretty much an equal throw from full right to full left.
if I adjust for about 8 deg pitch to attain a hands free hover in rate mode then the throws are unequal from one end point to the other and I am not sure the gyro/fbl unit is happy with this scenario either.
i am sure this topic has come up before but just wanted to see what others are doing these days with all the newer gear?
Better still would be to have an output shaft that was in the middle when at 8 degrees pitch.
so do you setup for 0 degrees pitch with equal throws or 8 degrees with unequal throws?
