been offered a bit of land in the village where i live,

actually land i can use is an acre but flying space loads of farmers fields which his given me permission to fly over,

    but

running across is a low voltage 11,000v electricty wires on poles, they wont get in the way of my flying just circuits and hovering, my question is does it interfere with 35mhz signals, distance to them is approx about 200 yds ill suppose,

    any thoughts
If You Cant Dazzle' Em With Brilliance, Baffle' Em With emmmm you know the rest

Same as a field I fly in. Never had a problem & I too fly about 200 yds away.

Just because I am nervy about electricity I steer a bit further clear when it's foggy / misty.

    Cheers

Just dont crash into the wires and plunge the village into the dark ages hehehe
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

            What a complete idiot!
Thats the sort of thing that will end up getting this awesome hobby banned

The (pointless) disclaimer at the end of the video says the pilot was professionally trained - really? By who?
He was obviously a good pilot, but is the "professionally trained" claim true, or rubbish?
And what difference would it have made?

It also says that precautions have been taken (in terms of safety) - I have my doubts - what precautions could be taken? If the heli was to fail, or have radio lockout, what were these precautions that they have in place to stop the heli from cutting a power line?

I think the disclaimer is rubbish and I think the pilot was acting very irresponsibly.
I'm all for having as much fun as possible in this hobby, but that really was damn stupid...

the guy in the video should be banned from flying after a stunt like that, good flying yes, but a person of his skill should know and respect the reasons for not flying in such a manner. Pity it didnt crash into his face!
