Evening flyiing ruined !!

Turned up at Field end rd to do some evening flying and found the park full of caravans and 4x4's!!- seems members of the traveling community have decided to set up camp- the police where there in force along with Hillingdon borough park services, they turned up around 8am this morning and had already installed hard points and electricity,, looks like this could be a loooong drawn out affair.

I know a couple of travellers, and theyre really nice people. But the majority arent. But if they tidied up after themselves, didnt go around robbing and being a nuisance, people would welcome them to the community.

But unfortunately they dont think that way.

Thing is, they broke the metal gates and gained entrance to the park,
surely that's criminal damage and must give the council the right to evict them?

Only problem I had with them last year was they kept coming up to me and asking how much and could they have a test flight before offering cash !!

Is it both halves of the field or just the grassy area on the left?

Both sides and they also set up camp at the little section that is used for the ride on train !!,,,

will ring round the lads and maybe organise flying this w/end at Little Harlington?..

Some took over a field near us a while back... when they left it was like a pack of animals had been.. rubbish everywhere, mud, poo, the lot.

Yep thats defo. If there wasnt anything to stop them they must give them 7 days notice, but if they have forcefully gained access then they can get booted instantly

But No. They were just passing and found the broken gates..obviously local council didn't find it necessary to repair them so they assumed i was Ok to park...

That is correct. The council have to prove they broke in . What usually happens is the send out some scouting parties and break some locks , if they are not repaired then,they move in ,. But hey they have to live somewhere , and we have to put up with it.

Got some just down the road from me ! All my gear is now in the spare room again.

Whe they camped at Croydon ya couldn't fly solo for needing to keep an eye on your stuff. A right bunch on horrid kids constantly pestering.. and even took a dump in the pits while I was packing up.
But I'm sure they're wonderfully honest folk who pay all their taxes and dues...
