There is a lot you can do yourself and you get to buy some great power tools, just don't skimp and get the right advice and the right people to help. A decent plumber will not be expensive, the cowboys are the ones that cost as they don't get repeat work, the reputable ones will charge a fair price, if you use an agent to buy then quite often they can put you in touch with the right trades.
I am a plumbing /heating engineer running my own buisness up here and my brother is a bricky plus the father of my brothers wife owns his own roofing buisness so all I need to get is a tapper to fill all the walls and a spark . Thats why I am seriously looking into this thomas.

You think that's remote.... I'm doing a house in the Western Isles. Fed up with the rat race down here.

I see where you are coming from though thomas and take on board what your saying . I have seen some shambles in my day and im only 29 . Some plumbers and sparks are just chancers and out and out roag traders as youd say and once bitten twice shy .Any way you should have the flood lights out and bursting your gut about now at that house and not on this forumonly joking mate , always got to have some personal time or you would go bonkers.
