  • MSH Brain self level Problems

Hi Guys not sure is anyone else has had trouble, Brought a MSH brain a few mate had good things to say about unit. set mine up and updated firmware to latest all seems fine apart from self level on bench test it just wants to send heli inverted. hold heli upside down flick switch it tilts swash but as you move heli the same way as swash it changes direction and just wants to hold heli upside down. if heli is right away up with slight tilt flick switch and again wants to send heli over. all swash is going right away and auto sense all works. I've found a few with problems like mine but this was sorted with firmware up date I've up dated but still there. any ideas? going to do factory reset tonight and start again incase I've altered something and not realised.

I was trying to set mine up for ages, completely ignore what it does on the bench, it makes no difference in the air.

The only way you can get it working from what I have found is take it up high switch into self leveling and watch which way the heli dives and then compensate in the trimming section, but be warned it goes very quickly, unless your good on the sticks I wouldn't advise it as it really does go quickly.

ive trimmed mine as best as possible, and yes if im at an odd angle and I flick the switch it very quickly goes back up the right way. which is good.

The part i was more interested in was the self level fight the way I had read it if you set the angle at say 45 degrees it wont go beyond that, but the reality of it is yes it doesnt go beyond that but you lose so much control its not really usable. I had an idea of using it as a training aid, but ive given that idea up at present.

sorry to be negative about it, but can only say as I find. The fbl part of the unit is excellent and the unit give a good natural and solid feel, although on the 2 machines if set them up on the tail needed some work to get working as I like it, but once there, its solid.
      All the best
      Tony.
