  • Trex 250 Tail Twitch

    Hi Guys,

Been flying the Trex 250 today with no issues; on my 6th flight the tail has started to twitch every few seconds. It’s not a wag; more of a twitch about 2 to 3 cm. It also sounds like the motor or something is bogging during the twitch.

I’ve not made any Fubar/vbar setting changes; I’ve checked all the TT gears and main gear and no teeth seem to be damaged.

Any ideas on what else I can check?

    Re: Trex 250 Tail Twitch

Just as a line if thought to go on... my esc is set so when the lipos reach a certain voltage it starts reducing power output.. when this happens it makes the tail twitch just as you are describing.. so possible lipos not holding up, esc or motor problem?

If you've not changed anything with the tail/settings or had any bumps between flights (perhaps damaging tail servo gears) then it could be lipo giving up but it depends on how you've got it all set.

Cheers mate, I just tried a new lipo and issue gone.

Thanks for that; I thought it was mechanical for a moment

Have you calibrated you throttle with esc followed by bleeps 1, 2, 1, 2, 3 & the 6th is setting 6v which servos prefer with fbl units
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

Just check the esc and it is 1,2,1,2,3.

The issue hasn't come back; I think it was the lipo was close too low. Cheers
