carbon fiber tail control rods

as above does any one make from scratch their own rods , cf tube and thread in the metal links, thinking of trying one so was wondering what size people use for a 450 size heli, where you sourced the cf from. did you find it necessary to use glue and other issues you came across

On my 450 I use 2.5mm cf tube with 1.7mm bore (I think) I put a little piece of tape round the original metal tail rod so it doesn't rattle about and move, cant remember where i got the cf tube from but the postage cost more than the tube, it works well tho
