All contra rotating heli's are pretty poo outdoors any breeze will have them going off for the horizon.(what you think is a nice still summers evening can be very different 10ft above your garden fence.)

If there's no wind they will fly outside, I know an 8 year old boy who has one he can fly it quite well outside but if there's any wind at all you won't be able to control it. It will drift in the wind and travel far away without being able to bring it back. If it were me I'd get a decent flight sim like Phoenix and practice on a cp model then when you can hover in all four orientations comfortably get a small cp heli like a nano, mcpX or 130 X by blade they are great to fly but you will need some basic training first hence the flight sim. Or it will get very costly on repairs...Oxy 2, 180cfx, 130X
Goosky S1
DX 8 , Phoenix sim, DJI P3P
