Outdoors only your budget is the limit.
but as a minimum I would go for a Blade 130X. despite what the "brand knockers" say its an excellent little flyer and will handle a good strong breeze well.

At our club Leicester Model Helicopters we have a large following of Blade 450X! Flyers of all skill levels have been flying these recently and it is a fantastic learning and development tool.
I like to be different so I went for the basic (plastic) Mini Titan at £200 almost ready to fly and it is pretty good too IMHO with the GT5.1 FBL!
Many will recommend something bigger to handle the wind we always have in this country but these two are pretty good reasonably priced with. Good spares backup to get going with!
good luck and happy landings whatever you decide.Central Model Heli Club. #keeprchelisalive

I can't recall your skill level from your earlier thread - but assuming you're a beginner, I'd second the 130X as a good outdoor machine.
To be honest - even the lowly mCPX - especially the BL version is good fun outdoors and will handle a pretty strong breeze.
The modern flybarless units have really changed the game in this respect. See below for NickB putting a 130X through its paces on a windy day ...

The Blade helis that came after the Blade 400 are a big improvement. Mainly because the technology has improved and flybarless does make small helis feel bigger, small helis survive crashes better than bigger helis. The 130-X will handle a good breeze once you have learnt, but too much wind can make you feel that you aren't in control, and can dent your confidence. I'm starting to think that plastic is better than metal, as there are less screws with loctite on to undo themselves.Flasher 450 Sport. Assan GA250 with 520 tail servo, MKS DS450 cyclic.

Re: what electric heli for outdoor use for newbie
Before i get blasted i need to point out I'm still very much a beginner myself but I couldn't agree more, I got one recently and i do have a LOT of 450s thinking throwing money at the hobby will help, it sure don't. I think the E325s (mini titan) with the GT5.1 is absolutely awesome its like a rolls Royce compared to all the others, it fly's like its on rails. In fact it flew really nice until i found a walk through from a thunder tiger engineer showing how to tune in the GT5.1 as factory settings are obviously not dialed in that well, I spent 2 hours at the field following the guide and it now flies fantastic. If i could turn the clock back a year i would have bought this. Only problem is they are in short supply until end of July.Originally posted by Sheldrake View PostI like to be different so I went for the basic (plastic) Mini Titan at £200 almost ready to fly and it is pretty good too IMHO with the GT5.1 FBL!
This was before i dialled the giro in, about 3/4 of the way in the video you will see it close up
