Just got back from flying as it started raining
Managed 2 hours so quite contented with that.
I tried an auto with the 500 from 20 feet (bad move).
I got it horribly wrong & bottled it at 3 foot with little head speed I flicked hold back out but it was too late. As it hit the deck hard the long grass wrapped around the tail & there was that horrible sound of belt slippage. I managed to hit hold & luckily only the backs of the tail blades have a slight nick in them, apart from that it was undamaged.
Wont be trying that again in a hurry though.
I did manage to improve on my pitch timing on the 450 se v2 which at the moment is probably my favourite heli again. The 450 just flips so nicely not like the 500 which doesnt flip quite as nice due to the heavier battery up front. The 450 just does everything u want & more I even managed to keep the heli flipping for 3 rotations before drifting to far off track.
It was helish windy but between the gusts there were some quite calm moments. Lets hope tommorow isnt such a wash out as has been forecast round here

Managed two tanks, some good circuits but then the wind became a gale so gave up. Test hovered my new Trex 600 pro which flew great.

3 tanks though the 600n, or was it 4 - and three tanks through the rappy.
And a 450 pack, just to show tops123 how it could handle the wind.

We packed up at 3 becuase it was getting far too windy. A bit of a struggle to get the heli in through the car door in fact.

Our field is in the lee of a ridge in a SW and it was really gusty and rough. just flying straight every now and then the blades were barking loud

                          It was still fun though!

Windy here today, so I earned a few brownie points by painting the kitchen ceiling, (been nagged for weeks). I did manage to pop into the model shop to pick up some new servos for the Titan I am building if the weather is as bad again tomorrow I will probably start on fitting them.
