Don't get to go over often but I've been told my fathers day treat is a day at the field... Best get all the lipos charged, not flown the 700 in ages
I would look to join, but I do really need to get some flying time under my belt first, and with my dad being my mentor I'm gonna stick with flying with him as/when I can until I'm much more confident.

I enjoyed the chat Daz, and thanks for the tips, much appreciated.
What a great flying field! I will be joining the club as I think it's such a great space to fly in and from how you described it today, it seems a pretty chilled out atmosphere.

I'd be interested in joining if you really mean that this A cert thing is not enforced. I don't really have time (or much interested in) to do any certificates but would be great to have a place where I can fly from time to time during the week.

Is it possible to come over with a heli (on Sunday) and see the site?

There's usually a number of people at the field on Sunday - i say usually, but yesterday I was by myself, I suspect due to the weather.

We have a BMFA helicopter examiner in the club also if you did want to obtain your A - really does make your life easier, and I suspect would not be too difficult for you to obtain

Thanks a lot for the answer, it's great to know that you have an examiner on site. I should be able to pass A, I believe. I'll PM you soon if you don't mind.

Hmm I may be tempted to at least show my face this year.. But I can't fly so won't embarrass myself with that lol... What are fees etc like? I'm already a member at another club so need to work out if I can afford it.

Meh, i can't fly for toffee and we have a number of new to rc members also, and a number of members who quite happy hovering all day, so i wouldn't worry about embarrassing youself.

i think the details here are still current, but best to double check with the secretary (email on page)
