Thank Martin Sam has over 50gb of video and pictures from today alone,there is still tonights night flyin at "the village" and tomorrows competition flying.
Obviously this is going to take time for the lad to process but I'm sure the wait will be worth it.

On another note it seems last years few gripes about the lack of sales has been listened to,Climb out and Hobby Hangar were doing some cracking discounts.

Very sad that fb has so much zone promotion ,photos , videos etc but nothing on here !
come on comp organisers your spectators are missing out as some just dont know its happening .

I kinda agree Rachel,but I do see why it hasn't been promoted so heavily here.Facebook can be controlled,here it can't, and what with the recent wave of negativity that seemed to plague threads...........?
Hopefully as the new guide lines take affect,the comp organisers will feel that they can promote events without the petty jibes about "quality of the speakers" "music too loud" (At a flight to music comp!!..figure that one out? ) "lack of trade stands" (again its a comp not a boot sale).
Now before you all jump on me saying negative feed back helps improve next years event,yes maybe,and it is noted. But one stupid petty remark on here can help people to decide against visiting,I'm sure in fact I know,that the organizers are aware some spectators travel long distances to watch and believe me every single person that makes the decision not to attend based on forum posts misses out on a fantastic,spectacular event with some of the worlds best pilots competing in a brutal knockout competition where skill and tactics play a massive role in the outcome. ..Eg(Jamies first flight was very controlled and accurate, enough to probably get him to the next stage,where he will up the pressure and excitement.... on the other hand Dunkan comes in and BOOM blows his opposition out of the park ( in my opinion..I have not seen any results)

I believe the first batch of results will be up before night flying. If i can I will post them later but I'm not promising anything as I have sun stroke and my doctor has told me to drink plenty of fluids. ( Doombar ale is a fluid after all )

Although I agree wholeheartedly Ron I have to say that unless people across the hobby are prepared to buck the trend and the negativity it's never going to get better. I can't go to every heli event I want to, the bank balance just won't allow for that but what I do expect in these days of endless connectivity is a run down of how an event/comp is going, we have had no results at all in the preliminary rounds. That makes me negative (which I'm not) in that the organisers can't be bothered to promote interest.

Everyone at zone is working very hard Rachael its in its infancy still.
Stu & Ady on Friday at 2pm dissapeered from the fun fly to set up the area ready for today.
I left the flyin at 5.45 & there was no sight of either of them whilst we were all having fun.
A lot of the southwest Heli members get drafted in to assist boggy james moon geek Victoria james wife Nicky etc
I don't quite see who could be left to do a pr job, lucky for me I had a 3G signal do I managed to upload a few vids but whilst doing that I missed a lot of good pilots flights unfortunately. I really wish I could have filmed dunkan Bossion but I was half way through uploading Trex pedro's flight when he came to the flight line.
