Thought I would add my thoughts to from the event running side of things.
Stu and Adie Smith did an awesome job getting this event to run this year and well done to them.
The Friday funfly was a great success, uk pilots of all standards mixing it with the international big boys. It ran very smooth and went issue free that's great as stu and adie were busy at the fillet air arm so was left to me, geek, boggy and pete to run this part of the weekend.
The zone comp was awesome, and again myself, boggy, geek, pete and boggy jr(dan) we're out there helping run the flight line so adie could get on with being a judge and stu sorting out all the behind the scenes stuff.
Again for a first time we all helping do this all ran pretty smooth, even when dealing with crashes, all we're sorted quickly so we could get on with out major delays.
As it was the zone helpers first time being involved in an event like this we now know how much hard work goes in to running these events, and anyone that puts on events like this, well I take my hat off too you.
Can't wait to next year, I think I want to train to be a judge next though so I can get a chair.....lol.

Out of my 4 visits to comps the Zone 2012 was the best yet!

I got say Andy my mate(PA MAN)Did a awesome job.at Zone/zone village and then in the pub.dont forget he loves helicopters but was working all weekend too.he was so excited all the weekend

Congrats to Stu and Adie and all their helpers for a fantastic event.

It was great to see some of the worlds best pilots in action on UK soil. Jamie does it again with real grace and precision to his flying, particularly hitting every pause in the music - even after the 4th time of watching the same routine it was amazing to watch and seemed to improve every time. Dunkan Bossion for real crowd appeal (better than Tareq for me) and Timo Curlis for technical flying and one to watch for the future. The dual victory flight was incredible. Although congratulations to all the pilots, especially considering the Very windy conditions on Saturday - basically making it look like there was no wind at all! The format worked to give the top 4 pilots, whilst making it enjoyable for the crowd and all the pilots seemed to enjoy the event too, with a great atmosphere all round.

Mostly distribution stands on show, but it does mean we got to see the yet to be released TSA Infusion and Logo700 up close. I think I even saw the new silver Vbar, from afar though.

A few minor improvements can be made, but for their first truely international event you can't complain and yes I will be going again next year and will make sure I find room for a heli in the car.

Absolutely fantastic weekend. Still buzzing today! The best pilots and the best flying I have ever seen and to actually take part and compete was just amazing! So many highlights I dont know where to start so I'll just say Dunkan Bossion was simply outstanding. Great to see and catch up with so many of my friends from the comp circuit and also from right here on Heliaddicts.

Got to agree craig, andy did a fantastic job, as did nik on the mic.
Timo Curlis has to be my pilot of the weekend though, his innovation for me was the best out of all the pilots and i can see him being a future zone/masters champion

Having helped run 3D Scotland for its first 2 years I can completely understand how difficult it can be to organise an event! If I hadn't been working I might have made the journey down as it sounds like a crackin event!

For the record - standing at the end of the flight line can be a scary experience, especially when one of the pilots goes out of bounds (behind the flight line) and is about 10ft above your head lol
