Thought I would let you guys know the latest things happening in the Zone in the build up to the Weston Park Event on the 17th, 18th & 19th June 2011.
The team has been working hard recently preparing and organising the event location making sure everything is in place and the location will be used to it's maximum potential.
Entertainment has been booked for the event and we have full use of top resources ready to be used on site only a short distance from our main flightline so nobody has to miss any of the action.
Zone has welcomed 3 new sponsors recently Fast Lad Performance & Phoenix Technology of the UK and also we are very pleased to add Beast X Flybarless Systems to the fold, our 1st sponsor outside of the UK.
We recently released details of demonstartion pilots for the event. We have some world class pilots on show at Zone this year including 17 past and present 3D Masters Expert/Master competitors. The stats don't lie these guys will pulling some amazing flights out the bag during the event. More pilots will be added to demonstration teams in the build up to the event so keep an eye out.
Zone has been working closely with it's largest media partner RcHeliResource.com and has been chosen as a host for the companies TV Series Radio Active. The guys will be visiting the UK all the way from the USA to film the show as part of the Series. The show is due to air on RivageTV and ESPN which really is great news for exposure of our hobby to a wider audience.
Lastly a quick mention again about our Fun Fly on Friday 17th June 2011 which takes place the day before the Zone competition begins. All pilots are welcome but require BMFA insurance. There will be a small charge of £5 to fly for those not in the Zone competition. Flying is due to start at 1pm and will carry through until 9pm for nitro and until dark for electric flight.
I hope to see as many of you as possible and am really excited to be part of running this event, the hard work from behind the scenes will hopefully shine through on the weekend and everyone will have a great time
