Hi there..UK 3D CUP BASIC FORMAT IS POSTED

HERE IS A SHORT BREAK DOWN FOR YOU GUYS
the competiton will be help over june 19th and 20th 2010 at weston model airshow

all competitor will compete on the saturday and only the top five will compete on the sunday BUT DONT FEAR the competition should end around mid day on sunday if your not in the top five you will still have the option to have flying slots and we think you will see the most exciting flights(with no pressure of the competition)all the competiiton pilots will have the option to fly and the pilot will be introduced to the crowd and so will his sponsors via a public address system(pa system)
we think this will be similiar to the evening flying at the 3d masters were some fantastic flyin was seen

set manoeuvres
upto 6 set will be used and will be the same as the 3d masters one's and can be seen on 3DX - The World 3D Format - Set Manoeuvres this will bring the UK 3D CUP inline with 3DX COMPETITIONS WORLD WIDE.USING A K FACTOR RATING FOR THE DIFFICULTY ON THE MANOEUVRE
if you K factor is 8k or less you will automatically be entering the 8k cup but the pilot will still be placed in the overall score board


freestyle
3 minute flight duration,which can be flown to music if wanted but we wouldnt recommed it,but thats your choice

There will be victory flight for the winners

camping is free to competitors

entry forms will be sent to pilots who email me at craig@blackcountrymodels.com and either send back with a cheque or emailed back to me with paypal payment or credit card will be excepted but we will need to contact the entrant for credit cards to be excepted..so paypal or cheque is ideal

you camping/entrance passes will be forwarded to you in due course.

evening/night flying
there should be evening flying but we arnt sure if this will be on the main flying area or the competiton area so please note this will be posted before the competition

if you have the ability to tell the difference between some of the best pilots in a competition enviroment please email craig@blackcountrymodels.com
We will also be offering judging places to certain people with already exsisting judging experience.
The judges will gain free accomodation over the weekend and a full english breakfast or whatever they choose on both days

Thats great Craig, might be flybarless myself by then.
And a great job Craig, having more comps in the uk will be great for our hobby and at such a great location with loads of traders and manufacturers around will really be a great spectator event.
It is good also to see 2 different types of format in the uk, i know some disagree but it makes all the comps more interesting to have diff things to do.
This is the ideal as it replaces the 3d clubmans but also allows for all level of pilots.
I know there are loads of great pilots out there that haven't signed up to this yet, and why i don't know, come on guys, this is a great event to start the flying year off, and an excellent lead into the other comps of the year.

8000 spectators expected at weston park UK 3D CUP

UK 3D CUP AT WESTON PARK
is expecting aprox eight thousand spectators over the weekend 19th and 20th of june 2010,
So UK 3D CUP will be bringing 3d flying to the masses to promote the sport we love

we will hold three rounds
set manoeuvres/freestyle/and flight to music

there will time allocated for promotional pilot slots so traders and manufactures can promote there products

as mentioned UK 3D CUP will be using the world 3DX format
