Please don't take this the wrong way, results and coverage could have sold this to me. Decent reporting of the event including results, either on the Zone site, here or wherever would have worked. But no coverage I'm afraid won't drag me Louise and the bin lids 200 miles to watch. It's a shame but complete lack of coverage will result in apathy. Come on boys hourly updates aren't difficult to achieve for an international pilot list.

For an event like you say Dave that has international top pro pilots here it is pretty poor.
Lack of spectators (which I think is location) and sponsors (Im not there only going by what Im told) and nothing to do except at the village after the comp. I was going tomorrow but after speaking to a few Im not going to.
But Im sure it can be a bt difficult to find the time unless you have someone specific to do it and I bet there won't be a lack of volunteers to do it.+ 7 x Eddies finest EGS's

Day 1 results are gathered at 5:30 after all rounds have been flown. There is too much information and not enough time between rounds to do constant updates. The useful information is only available one all group stages are done and are released ASAP.
Tomorrow ot is easier with straight knockout the results will be published after each round so more updates tomorrow. Also videos will be taken tomorrow of the knockout stages.

I'm not sure if I missed the shit storms Ron, I must have. But, that doesn't detract from the point that no news is bad news. Thanks Stu for explaining the delay in advertising the results.
I think it's a real shame that in such a small insignificant hobby like ours that we all can't get along. I get along with anyone, don't matter if you've got more of an opinion than me, it would be difficult in fairness as I've mostly got an opinion on most thingsBut, if we all don't pull in the same direction the hobby as such will be ill informed and without intention.
I love this hobby and wish there wasn't such bad feeling about what I don't know, clueless (me that is) Can someone give me a idea please coz i'm a bit lost..... It's a heli comp that we're all interested in for Gods sake.

The knockout competition hasn't even started yet tomorrow will be a different story today was qualification with results at the end of the day. Like I say there was nothing to update you about until about 8pm. Tomorrow there will be updates as the knockout progresses. Best place to be is Facebook like it or not 99% of people have it and those who don't have to search harder for information. Social media links direct feed to our website so you can at least see the posts we make there at zoneformat.com.
no issues with this comp and relations with other people think Ron is refering to this forum in general Dave.

I don't understand why the results take so long to be published? Back in the late 80s early 90s during F3A we had a computer program that had the marks entered and the points totalled straight away. Once a complete set of points had been entered, the results and positions could be printed out. SIMPLES.Been there and done that, but never stop learning.
Now too many Helis to mention?
