A quick message from our CD
This comp is being held at the Leicester Model Flying clubs site at Gumley. Directions can be found on the AHA website.
Hi All
Okay we have finally made it to our last contest of the season and this one is going to be a busy one and please don’t let it RAIN!!!!!!!
We have the second F3C team trial and also F3N team trial again after it was voided after the Nationals being flown on this day aswell as the clubman’s and Sportsman contest.
So for this reason I have asked the on site contact if we can get there early and allow an early start. I would like to get the pilots briefing completed and ready for the off as close to 9AM as possible please.
This will entail a sound check to all new helicopters that have not been checked at this site before, if you are also a new pilot you will need to bring your proof of insurance to be allowed to fly.
Adrian will be on site from 8am and I will be there as soon as I can close to that time (I and Mark have a long way to come), so please can I ask you to use your time wisely and get there early to get all the check completed.
There will of course be tea and coffee on tap as usual and if it rains a nice hut to keep dry in.
There has to be a “Quiet Hour” on this site from 1 -2pm, where only electric are allowed to fly so I and Paul will be working to get this scheduled in to allow the flying not to stop but of course has only electric flying, mind you most will be electric anyway!!
There is a permanent F3C square already marked out on this site so no worries on that side of setting up.
If you have time and can be bothered, could you please email me to say you are coming as it would be nice to know numbers for the last competition at least, and this will hopefully speed things up aswell? Hopefully we will fit it all in.
I presume to have 4 rounds of F3C as it’s a T Trial if time allows, 3 at the least and I don’t know how Rob wants to run his TT but we will need to talk on Sunday.
I think that’s it for know, oh in case you didn’t know we have booked the BMFA offices for the AGM on the 6th of November @1300hrs. This as always will be your time to have your say and if you do not attend you will not get it. We will have to re-elect all the committee and select the F3C and F3N Team Managers for 2012 and that is just a few of the items on the agenda. If you are available please do come along as it will also be good to have a big number at the BMFA and show them me mean business for the helicopter fraternity.
For those members who don’t fly in contests, please do come along to Gumley and see some of the best pilots in the country doing their thing. We will have the British F3C team there competing for their 2012 place. Also some of the best 3D pilots in the country attempting to secure a place in the F3N British Team. And I am sure they will be giving us some demos in the breaks for all our entertainment.
See you all Sunday
