Hi all
the swrch club are announcing the new date, Feb 23-24th Febuary grassroots 3d competition for up and coming 3d pilots.
The event will again be held at Phoenix model aviation near bath, as this has full inside facilities were food and drinks can be provided.
VERY IMPORTANT, weather backup plan to run the event on the Sunday if required, so please makes sure you are avaliable for both days just in case.
Camping is on site if needed and electric hook up can also be provided if required as well as charging, sim, repair facilities, there is a charge for camping that you will have to pay phoenix aviation.
This competition will follow the 3dformat grassroots layout flying a sets round and freestyle round, then a top 5 fly off.
We have some great judges lined up, Matt Lodge (head judge) the Smith brothers, Jamie Cole and the first ever grassroots winner Peter Gray (Pedro).
We will need 10 pilots to make the event viable to run, and we have 2 already confirmed from our local club.
You do not require a bmfa A or b test but will require your caller to have a b if not, callers can be provided if needed.
You will need proof of bmfa or rcha insurance to fly.
Entry price is zero if you are already a carry over from the last event that was cancelled, new entries will be £20.
Hopefully also with Jamie Cole there we will get a nice rotor world write up and pictures.
Any pilot that cannot make the new date please pm me.
Any new pilots or ones that were not on the final flying list for the last event please pm me if interested, and if there are any more spare places i will allocate them first come first serve.
