sorry guys a slight omission on my part (which i wasn't actually aware of) But there is also a set time limit of six minutes on the sets maneuvers.

Cheers everyone, had an early night so missed some of these posts.
Yes Ron is 100% correct, we will have to restrict the sets round to 6 mins max, you could have them done in 2 mins if you like, it is just 6 mins is the max, this has to be done as we need to get through the flights due to daylight restrictions. Freestyle is 3 mins, and need to be 3 mins, again anything over that wont get scored.
Any collective pitch heli can be used in theory, from a 130x to a 700/800 whatever.
The choice is up to you, but one word on some that have mentioned flying small ones, if the judges cant see your heli properly, they are going to struggle to score it properly, i would say min really is a 450/500 size to get consistant scoring, i would say most previous grassroots events most are either 50/90 size.

We have no cut off date for entries but we will have to decide on a numbers cut off very soon, as we are filling up fast so any out there not got there forms back, please do sooner rather than later to avoid disapointment

Been to phoenix avaition today to sort some stuff out with the owner Pete.
We have sorted the posn of the flight line and where the pilot caller and judges will be.
There is going to be a BBQ running in the day, plus hot jacket spuds, cup a soups, coffees, teas etc etc supplied through Phoienix for a fee of course.

Dreat thing about using phoenix is it has indoor facilities, places to charge, repair or just rest out of the cold

To be honest didnt fly much at all, and what i did was just practising some sets for next years champs of stuff i havent done before

Tom. Was a perfect day mate. James didn't do much flying but when he did his tail looked like it was broke, kept spinning out of control, god knows how he managed to control it throughout the whole flight!!

Just sent my £200 to James (the other £180 is to bribe the judges!!) and emailed my form back.

Should be interesting times ahead now, this is my most busiest period at work leading into the winter!! Best take the 130x with me and practise in some of my customers large gardens!!
