Calshot indoor meet Dec 7th07

Hi. I am thinking of attending Calshot indoor flying meet this week to fly my smaller walkera dragonfly 4. I have heard mixed things about flying a heli there rather than a plank. Will anyone in the Hampshire/Dorset area be attending this meet or have you been before? If so I would be interested to know if you think it's worth while driving there to fly a heli.

I've been there before and heli owners are pretty much 2nd class there...not worth the trip unless it's for a 'heli only' evening imo...

I've been looking at arranging a heli only event there, but it needs 8 definite people or I loose money on it (or it gets expensive for everyone who does attend). I've been before and it depends which group are running it. One group I wouldn't risk my heli flying with, the others are quite good and all the planks land to let you have some space.

I'll agree with Trev tho, in both instances heli's are second class.

OK thanks for the replies. I wont bother then and make do with hovering in my front room lol. I will be very interested in an indoor only heli event tho!!
