Midland Helicopter Club Open Fly-in weekend 11th and 12th June 2011

Following all your support and attendance last year, we are pleased to announce the date for our Open Fly-in weekend on the 11th and 12th June 2011.

This is one of the largest fly-ins in the calendar and being centrally based, very easy to get to and just 5 mins from the motorway junction. We will look forward to making you all very welcome.

There will be all the usual facilities to include camping by prior arrangement (I just need to know numbers), catering, toilet facilities and a huge raffle (there was a record £3500 worth of goodies on the table last year!!!!!).

You can hopefully expect a couple of flight displays from some of the best pilots in the UK.

All pilots will be required to provide proof of BMFA or RCHA insurance. The event is obviously open to pilots and visitors alike and to any pod and boom model (sorry, no scale at this one).

Yup am in .. Always a blast at this event and this is my 3rd year of going to this so would not miss it .. Even better as its 2 days

Electricsceadu, yes I know, that will be our SCALE day, but you should come to this one too!!!

Gaza.......... That said, Fastlads very generously gave a Protos combo for our raffle last year which is well supported by a number of sponsors and of course including Midland Helicopters (they gave a Srimok kit last year!!!) but also Optifuel, West London Models (Thunderpower), NHP, CSM, Model Helicopter World, Rotorworld, Trexmad and AirbrushArt to name but a few!!

Our raffle table value last year exceeded £3500.............worth coming just for that me thinks

And I forgot to mention on my original post that we had all our signs pinched last year (think we might have upset the local anti-heli group) so although we will put them out again this year, they my not stand the test of time. the scale fly-in is listed as august sat/sun 13/14
but someone has listed the scale comp as sun 15th
it might be worth a little edit before you confuse the scale guys
or do i get 1st place for being the only one there again on the sat


and as my md500's a proven 4d machine its good to crash at the 3d event
