Mode 1? Is that like the Masons? A strange and secretive society with wellingtons, cold custard and sheep?

Back in the house. Just raided stu's gallery again.

Here we have Simon our Inters winner. Maybe Chris Captaincrash can do the honours for me with a full pilot bio.

Simon is a very polite and pleasant bloke to be around and also a very good pilot. I'm sure we will be seeing a lot more off Simon over the next few years and l'm already looking forward to meeting up again soon. Well done Simon.

Simon is a young farmer from Hull, he's been flying heli's for a couple of years now, he previously flew planks before he "Saw the light". He flys mode 1 which Tim will tell you is "The Future"
He has competed only once before in the Goole 3D Clubman event. His win this weekend was a credit to him as he only entered the comp at the beginning of last week and as such had had very little practice, i feel his win was also due in part to the professionalism that was shown by his caller and pit bitch (Me) lol

He originally flew Raptors before moving onto Compass Knight 3D's which improved his flying massively, he was then tempted to the dark side by Align and currently flies a T-Rex 500, 600 and 700, there's no accounting for taste i suppose, he uses Optifuel 20% and GLX Blades and is a bloody nice guy and a deserved winner.

Thanks guys it really was a pleasure to be part of such a great event.

Matt deserves this post and the win as his flying was excellent throughout the whole weekend and is defiantly something to aspire to. 12 bottles of Optfuel in one week is some dedication!

I really am touched by all the comments and posts. However, simply put, I just partake in a sport we all care passionately about. Helicopters continue to get more and more popular and we all thankfully take a role in that, from competitors, organisers of competions, those who just enjoy flying and last but not least people who actually take the time to film flights that others can then aspire to emualte........ Everyone plays a part.

I've worked, and will continue to work hard to improve as I love and enjoy flying helis. Being part of this Heli group is also important and the support and help you get from this forum is unreal.

As a couple have said before me, the winner of the intermediates, Simon Scott, also deserves the accolades he has received and I know he is part of a new group of pilots to watch.

Finally, I absolutely loved doing the victory flight and can't wait to see it myself!

nb. For the record I only did 5 gallons the week before 3ds!!

Thanks again all. I really really appreciate it.
