A massive thanks go to "ALL" the guy's that put so much work and effort into this event on a weekend I will never forget.

Far too many names to mention but all I can say is this was a perfect weekend both for weather and company.

Still overwhelmed by the shock of winning the Grass Roots class but hopefully reality will sink in tomorrow..

The standard of flying from all pilots was incredible from grass roots up to the experts class.

Will get to speak more on the subject later but here is a few pictures of the weekends event.

      A massive turnout.

      10 year old Lee Currie

Barney who worked hard all weekend

One of the many sponsors Optifuel

      All 3 class winners

Andy Lever (The new sponsor) and myself.

      And finally the award.

the first post in this thread is the rss one from the site so just a few things if i may.

i would like to thank the SAA for their generosity with everything they done for us (also a caveat on this for the things we will be asking for next year :-) )

thanks to stu, barney, ian, del, andy, davie, ronnie, kev, marius, michael and wolfy for helping greatly in one way or another, i'm grateful for it.

last but no means least a big thank you to all the competitors.

this type of competition has NEVER been done before. not only was it the first competition for all our grass root pilots but it was also our first time trying to set a competition up, hopefully we will learn together and make the next one even better.

hope everyone enjoyed it and see you all next year!

              cheers

p.s if anyone wants a judging position for 2011 my seat is vacant...lol

                  Couple of observations Tim......

First pic - there are planes in the mid-ground...... was there some real flying going on there as well? (Runs away......... )

Sixth pic - you and Mr Optifuel shirt - that heli has a flybar - thought you were Mr flybarless these days?

We said at the time some nosey observant bugger will spot this.

This was prize giving time and my heli was back at the car, I used the first heli I got my hands on.

Yes I still fly the 3G unit on my 700.

A big thank you to all the organizers and helpers for hosting an excellent event.
Also thank you to Jason and Mike for repairing my 700 after the clunk line came off mid flight

Thanks to all the guys who organised and ran a superb event, thanks to the judges who worked tirelessly throughout the weekend in extraordinay weather conditions( For Scotland anyway!) The names are far too many to mention but many thanks to Stu, Barney, Ian Ransome, Craig Tosh, Paul, Del and the many others that made this event such a success, great to see all you guys!

Congratulations to all the pilots and especially the winners, Tim, Simon and Matt, you all put on a great display over the weekend and your victory flights were outstanding

Great to see all the usual faces over the weekend, Edders, Rob, Pete, Matt, Jase, Sarah, James and Mo to mention but a few.

A special thanks to all the Stainburn guys, Tim, Shaun, Jeff and Carl, spent quite a lot of time with these guys over the weekend and have to say you all made my weekend, had a great time and a great laugh too.

Look forward to seeing you all again soon.

I just wanted to add my thanks to Paul Campbell (Raptorheli2), Stuart Savage (Stu) and Brian Nicholas (Barney) and the other helpers (ian, Del etc. ) at 3d Scotland. I know first hand how much effort went in to planning, co ordinating and actually making this event happen. To say this was your first event as a 3d competition team, you most certainly pulled it off and it was a pleasure to be associated with it.

Due to the organistaion, the competitors, sponsors and weather, it has to be one of the best events I have been to.

The competition in all levels was high and to see how some people improved over the last 12 months ( Ian Ransome, Tim Proctor, Rob Turnbull, Peter Ayriss etc.) was a tribute to hardwork, determination and tenacity.

I`m looking forward to watching the victory flights when they are published. I don`t think I have ever thought I had lost a helicopter as many times, yet still manged to take it home in one piece. I still have bits of thistle stuck in my swash plate?! .....

Finally, I just want to say thank you to Optifuel and Fastlad Performance for their personal support over the last 18 months.

                              cheers,
