Lee currie came 3rd in the intermediates and he's only 10!! The 700 he flies is bigger than him. Stu is on his way home so pics will be up either tonight or tomorrow with the videos being processed at the same time!

I met Lees dad via the internet when he set up a heli command for me a couple of years ago. When to Ireland to meet him and he introduced me to his son who was amazing, I have sponsored him ever since.
I have a feeling he will be a world champion one day (well I hope so)

Lee came over to ours at Beccles with his dad last month for a few days flying and it was great to see a young lad flying so well.

One negative point was he crashed my 600 into the concrete. Ouch!

A great lad with a big future in our sport.

Lee is the young lad on the front row, second right.

            Regards

            Paul

Paul there are HD vids of his flights to be uploaded soon hopefully! He is a very very smooth pilot and the control he has is incredible! And he was up against pilots that have been flying for many many years!

                    How very true Ashley..

Talk about flying on auto pilot until you settle down.

Nerves do take a big part when going out for the first time, I take my hat of to everyone who had the balls to enter this comp and do their sets / freestyle etc..

Just thought that I ought to add a quick message of thanks to all of those involved especially Stu, Paul, Barney, Del and Ian to name but a very few.

I for one had an excellent few days and was sorry to have missed the last few hours. We couldn't have wished for better weather right through the weekend and the dedication of all of those involved meant that all of the competitors had a good time too. I'm guessing there are a few burnt arms and necks amongst those who came as the sun was quite fierce right through the day.

On a more personal note, I hadn't really considered flying competitively before and certainly hadn't practiced anything so to place 8th flying a 450Pro in grassroots was a real surprise!

Thanks again to all of those involved and congrats to everyone that flew, regardless of your final placing I was impressed by everyone. It was also a pleasure to meet so many of you.

Who'd have thought that the angry pirate would have even come into it all...?

Cheers, Andy (the pushrod fondler) Linney

The Victory flights were outstanding Andy. I have no idea how Matt managed to keep his heli in one piece, he was cutting the thistles and the heli was getting pulled into them and he was seriously low for most of it (or as Edders say's, in the scoring zone).

Your a master at fondling those pushrods now and i wonder if the Angry Pirate has recovered from his experiences lol

                                It's all been said already!!
Wow, what a superb weekend - Stu, Barney, Paul, Ian, Del and the team certainly did themselves proud by putting on a superbly run event. All your hard work paid off big time and you should be rightly proud of what you have achieved!

Having done this myself, I'm pretty sure it will have been fraught behind the scenes now and then, but it really didn't show "front of stage", and thats what matters - it was just a superb weekend and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

A relaxed atmosphere where everyone is having fun is key to the success, and you pulled that off brilliantly.

I may have had a few issues with heli's but hey ho, that's life! Thanks to Edders I had a heli to fly in the finals

To all the pilots that competed - you should be very pleased with yourselves - it can take a lot of nerve to get out there and do what you did. You all deserve a big pat on the back

Hopefully everyone enjoyed it enough to want to do it all again, and keep progressing skill levels to however far you want them to go.

I'm told there are tons of photos and several videos on my cameras, so we will try and get that lot sorted as soon as we can!

Congratulations to all the winners (Tim, Simon and Matt) you all deserved your first places. Brilliant flying from you all!

I'm still buzzing from a great weekend!
Thanks again guys - looking forward to the next one already!
                                Cheers,
                                Rob
