  • Where to stay?

Thinking of coming up for the weekend, but where's best to stay? I'll be bringing the wife and 2 kids, and considering the likes of a static or self catering cottage...?

Also some suggestion on touring sites as the in-laws are thinking of coming along with us for a break in their motorhome.

    Thanks, Anthony

Hi Ant, drop 'Stu' a PM as he may be able to point you in the right direction. There will be camping available onsight but just basic Water and Toilets. I'll see if I can find a link or two.

    cheers Brian

      Thanks Barney

Unfortunately camping is out the question with the family

I've just made some enquiries as Sands of Luce Caravan Site - about 15min away.

How much is entry for spectators?

i'm currently working on a hotel list in the area. i'll have it up for weekend. it is a fairly big town so accommodation will not be an issue.

entry to the SAA airshow (which means 3DS aswell) has not been decided yet but it's not going to be astronomical as it's a family event. the SAA committee are working on this just now.

            cheers

We should have an update ready around the 20th concerning Accomadation, Spectator entry fees etc etc and a possible deal tying in some of the above. Some of this has to be cleared with the SAA Airshow committee first hence the slight delay.

Was speaking to Shaun (Jackflap) tonight on the phone and we are definately booking a half decent room for the night, Travel Lodge or similar.

Waiting to see what Paul comes up with regarding digs etc.

Well i've decided to go for the week - a well deserved break I think!

Booking in Sands of Luce, since they take tourers, and I can hire a static for the family.

                          All good
