for those that have not seen the help with 3d day post this one is basically to get an idea of numbers of people that wish to fly at the event. the competition is intended for normal club pilots that feel they wish to improve.
the dates will be mid-late may 2010 (we will conclude this based on the number of entries) and the place will be around Glasgow, Scotland. The exact venue will be confirmed again once we have numbers.
the set mans schedule for class B is attached below, Class A will use the current 3DC setup and schedule but as most are interested in the Class B that is what we will concentrate on just now to decide the date and location.
for those interested can you please reply stating the class you will fly in. Class A or B.
the format for Class B will be the following-
1. 3 set moves flown in single flight picked from the list. the pilot can only pick a maximum of 2 from the same K factor.
2. we do not need prior knowledge of the set moves picked so you can change them on day if you wish to suit conditions.
3. the moves must be flown infront of the pilot and at a comfortable height and distance to suit the pilot.
4. all K scores will be multiplied as normal and then the lowest score dropped on each round.
5. there will also be a 2 minute freestyle that will include the 3 set moves that were picked above. this will again be judged on the moves being central and also how fluid the freestyle and linkage is between them.
6. the top 3 pilots in the class will go into a fly off and all scores will be zeroed. The 3 pilots will complete the same 2 minute freestyle which incorporates the 3 set moves as outlined above. the winner will be chosen using the above criteria after normalisation of the scores.
