Just got back from the Blackburn Fly-In. What a superb day!! The weather was as good as you could get. Plenty of flying done. Trying to learn inverted hovering. Its coming slowly.

Had a bit of a mishap last night at the set-up. Just fitted a Scorpion 1900KV motor to my 500 and I tried a friends new RockAmp 6S lipo pack. I've never seen anything like it!!! The head speed was ballistic. Did a few circuits and then the tail let go piro-ing like mad. The photos of the end result are on TrexMAD website. I think the Spartan gyro came apart. Done all three cyclic servos!! Never mind it'll be flying again in a few weeks.

Absolutelty superb weekend!!! The weather made it. Some great flying just topped the weekend. I managed to do a ten second intverted hover and both 700's still in one peice. Even Country & Westerns' RJX XTreme went home in one piece!

The highlights were Qal's (heli) and Mick Fletcher's (plank) flying and the jet turbine Eagle F15 plane - awesome!!!

Many thanks to the Blackburn & District Model Aircraft Club, Simon from TrexMAD for the brews and buddying up on the plank, Mick Fletcher for the plank tuition, Timmy Mallett for encouraging the inerted hovering, and Country & Western for ........ I'll think of something in a minute!!!!!!!!

                              Country & Western

I think it was Mrs. Country & Western that sorted out the lunch - was it not? As for making brews - well you know where your place is - in the kitchen!!!!

Must say though, your flying really came on this weekend. Wait till you get your 700 up in the air - then you'll get some b*****s!!!
