Excellent day, got a shed load of pictures to sort but will be sure to post a few of the best later today, got a few shots of the fastlad crew doing a bit of mowing for us and some crackers from the demo flights. All will be revealed later.

Thanks to all who made it a superb weekend, roll on the next one.

I got there about 3.30 and seemed to have missed it all, even the raffle....

It was bad eneough watching the way some people throw their helis about but what realy makes me mad are these damn kids..... I might just give up Whoever they were...Great flying lads!
Don't they have doors to knock and roads and railway lines to play on???

There was even a vulcan flyby, the red arrows must have been busy i suppose...

You sure it wasn't something to do with it falling apart?

It did fly REALLY nice apart from that tail - get that sorted please

Yep - the tail will be sorted next time!!!!
Grrrrr - most annoyed with that!

That said - thanks to Mr Awesome (Jase from Fast-Lads) - we got the Spartan setup sweet on Mats Aurora later on. I'll be completely resetting up mine after the rebuild and get it flying properly.

The advice I had on the setup might work on some heli's but apparantly not on the Aurora - now I know how to get it bang on... and if not, it's getting a 720 on it instead!

            Thanks again Jase!!!
            Cheers,

Steve did really well, especially the hovering manoeuvres - they were some of the best I've seen in a B test schedule - almost F3C like!

                Congratulations

                  That'll please him.

He prides himself on accurate F3C type flying.

                  Well done again Steve

                    • I need to say a thank you too for our 3 demo pilots

                      Rob (The Raging) Turnbull
                      Steve (Zero G) Gerrard
                      Duncan (Ozzy) Osbourne

They put on a really good display for us and gave us all a welcome break. It takes something to stand up there and put a flight in for such a qualified crowd, hat's off to all 3 off you.
Of course, some of the crowd were baying for blood, calling for blade stop auto's on a day with no wind. Suprisingly enough, nobody obliged!

                      • I also had a great day. Long drive at either end but well worth.

Thanks to Darren and his merry men for putting this on. I know from personal experience that this takes an awful lot of hard work. Nice one

Big congrats to Steve (The Manager) for passing his B Test. I second what Trev says about your hover moves. Very good indeed. Shame we didn't get it on video, could have used it as an example of how to do it. Well done!!!!!!

To everyone else I met up with................It was emotional

Below are some pictures I took. Also got a great video which is being uploaded as we speak and will probably start new thread with tonight. Tiz amusing

                          Odd that, eh
Thanks for the opportunity, I'm always up for a laugh... obviously Steve and Duncan performed at their usual miraculous standard - and my fuel tank clip decided to spring open half way through my flight causing a loss of back pressure and a lean run on the engine - hence the very short flight and early auto (without blade stop!). The more observant people may have noticed a distinct lack of smoke from the muffler just before the climb for an auto...

                          Always fun though
                          See you all again soon.

                          Cheers,

                          • think we should have you down for a flight demo at our scale event.....we could video it............not you, the crowd. Would be a sea of faces that just don't get it, very funny

                            • I accidentally attended a scale event once and did my usual 3d routine anyway - a big crowd gathered while I was flying and then disappeared after I landed - for all 4 flights. The scale helis only had one or two people watching!
