Image a field full of people who do not know each other, with conflicting 35Mhz transmitters and the consequences of switching on at the wrong moment, then you can guess where the concept of a TX control where you deposit your TX and get it back when it is your turn to fly came from.

With 2.4 there is less need to impound the TX but you still need a mechanism for booking and assigning flying slots.

It used to be a big thing when everyone flew on 35meg. it was more to stop people being shot down by people turning their radio whist on the same frequency. It doesnt happen so much now due to 2.4. It also helps track who has their radio's and is up to fly next!

Means if your wanting to fly at any flyin there will be a TX( = transmitter) control, that will look after your TX when not flying so this makes sure there is no clashes on 35mhz and to allow people to have there turn to fly.

Now at every flyin you will be asked to book ur TX in when u turn up and before switching on ur TX and pay ur fee to be allowed to fly thats normaly about £4 per pilot.

But our flyin for the first time and first EVER flyin!!!!! we will not charge pilots to fly at our flyin, hoping this will encourage more people to come and fly at one of UKs best flyins

2.4G will still need to be booked in and controlled by TX control, this is to allow others to fly!!
