DX6 Question

Hi, I took receipt of my DX6 controller last night and I have a question about phoenix.

I've calibrated the TX and 1, I can't get any heli off the ground, 2, fixed wing I have to pull the left stick to the 7 O'Clock position so it doesn't cartwheel to the left as it does every time.

All the trims are set to zero and with the cyclic stick even at +- 40 it's still difficult to get anything up in straight line and helis are impossible at this time.

It does seem more prone to tip over to the left with helis or planks when everything is set at zero, can someone please say what I'm doing wrong, as I'm totally lost as to what's causing it to happen.

Set it up as a single servo Wayne.

Make sure you calibrate it moving sticks to all quarters and it should be fine.

Been reading the manual, and without sounding a complete numb nut, it's all a complete mystery to me at the moment.

I have the same radio - feel free to pm me for more detailed info

- create a new model in the memory
- make sure it is a plane model
- only use that model for phoenix

There is a little bit in the start of the manual about setting up a 4 channel plane - use that and let phoenix do the ccpm mixing itself.

that should get you off the ground and buzzing around

hi mate i dont have that tx but on my pcm 9 x , find a clear channel then set it to ppm not pcm then look in manual for swash type set for one servo type ,i know whot its like the book with my tx was crape hope this may help if not im sure someone knows lol

oh and I thought you might like to know.... The DX6 was my first radio. My first post on here was about it. That was probably six months ago - probably longer. It is only now that I am starting to properly understand how it works.

i have got mine set on heli and it flies right in my memory serves me right in the reverse settings u need to have
Aile - reversed
elev - reversed
rudd - reversed
pitc - reversed

I've been playing with the settings on my DX6 settings, I've tried setting up as mentioned in previous threads and it became a little sticky, but this morning I've set the controller up on a separate new model channel in heli configuration, now I have everything working great apart from the forward, reverse cyclic, this is back to front, and I'm having trouble finding how to convert it to heli spec.

And suggestions anyone please.

Is this on the sim?
If so, edit the Tx setting and reverse the Elevator (tick the box to revers that channel).

Thank you Rob, fixed that, just one more numb nut question, when I power up the 450 I've tried different curves in the edit controller page but it's all or nothing, either I go up like a rocket or come down as one, and it's bloody hard trying to keep the power and height at a constant level.

In training mode it becomes to sluggish even though the throttle is massively tamed, but I'm learning in default mode and I'm having trouble with the erratic power up speed.

Can anyone help me again pleeaassee.

hi cambs flyer now i had the very same on mini t with jr pcm 9 x. now what i done was set heli to mid stike remove the servo that tilts the swash for and aft & just turn it over & relevel the arm then see what you have now on my tx thier is swashmix so on elev i had to set to -50 & left the others at 50 and that sorted me out now you can try this out if you want as this worked for me .but before i done this i did try reversing servos but nomatter what i did thier was allways something going the rong way hop this helps lol
