  • Whats next, any suggestions?

Hi all, looking for recommendations, I'm using a Blade 120 and I am quite happy with my progress with this Heli, I also have a Nano, which at the moment is far too twitchy for me, and cannot seem to calm it down, and finally a Interceptor 400 which can wait for a while, any of you got any suggestions for step up from the 120. Thanks for any inputs.

130x will need calming down at first, i found it a big step up from the 120, how much can you do with the nano?

Hi, is the 130 A flybarless, is it any more difficult to fly than the 120 with the flybar?
        thanks for your suggestion.

Hi to be honest, I really cannot get the nano under any control, really wanted it for indoors when the weather is not to good outside, but the Nano is just so twitchy, if I could at least get it in a hover I'd be happy, but to date no such luck, thinking best wait for a calm day and take it out doors where there is plenty of space, although if you have any suggestions for settings they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Have you tried dropping the rates and adding some expo?

I wouldn't recommend anything bigger than a Nano for indoors. In a hall or gym OK, but not in a living room where you have nowhere to escape. A 130X is going to hurt if you crash into yourself or someone else and anything bigger than that is going to draw blood.

Perhaps your Nano isn't set up well because it shouldn't be hard to get under control. Maybe someone at a local club can take a look at it for you. I would persevere with it and when you feel more confident move up to something like a Blade 450X or a T-Rex 550 if you have the cash.

Bit confused really, thought if I dropped the expo it would make it less twitchy around the the centre position, any rates you recommend to dial in would be a great start, thanks again.

Hi, not looking for anything to use indoors, I appreciate what you are saying, I have a interceptor 400, so was looking for something between the 120 & the 400, thanks for your input

Is this you first CP heli? and have you flown anything else? If I know your current skill level I can dial mine down to what I believe would be suitable for you and talk you through the settings.

+1 on this, also put the bullet blades on (if you havent already) as they will make it more stable.

Change your dual rates and expo to something like 50% for dual rates and 30% expo, if you find you're banging the sticks to make corrections and keep in a stable hover lower the expo a little and it will reduce the amount you need to move the sticks to get the heli to react.
