    Chaps,
In serious need of advice re honey bee 2 which following a minor adjustment on my part re the gyro, as soon as I try and plug in my battery the main blades spin up which was a bit of a shock especially for my fingers and nose!! I have tried re adjusting the gain both ways to solve the problem but she spins up every time, my nervs cant take it any more. What is it playing at?

have you checked that the idle switch on the tranny hasnt been flicked?
If not then have you changed the plugs on the reciever at all or was it literally just the pot on the gyro you changed?

Im just rethinking this, if that were tha case it should be going into programing mode do you get any bleeps before they spin?
    All the best
    Tony.

If everything is plugged into the receiver correctly, the ESC should decide when the motor shoudl spin (thus turning the head).
If this is the case, and the motor starts to turn immediately when you connect power (no beeps, no nothing from the ESC to tell you it is armed) then I would guess that something is wrong/faulty with the ESC.

      Cheers,

i think you have switched it into idle up. make sure the idle up switch (top left on tx) is pushed away from you. have you done much flying with the heli b4?
        cheers

Surely the ESC would detect the throttle is not at zero when first plugging in the power and therefore not arm itself?

I guess perhaps not in this instance, but thats not good!

Thanks for the advice chaps, in reply to all I have only just bought the heli and have no experience, am relying on advice from one and all. I have not touched any of the wiring just a minor tweek on the gyro and there are no noises from anything when you plug the battery in she just fires up and tries to eat you alive. i will contact the people i bought it off and try and get a replacment ESC and see what happens.
            Many thanks

Make sure you always switch on the transmitter before you switch on the heli.

As far as I know, all ESCs should not arm until they see low throttle - which an Idleup switch being switched on should prevent from happening, and the ESC should not arm. Perhaps something different is happening here though?

                Good luck!

The idle up lever is in the rear position which I know is correct and was working cos I switched it on when I first got it out the box in the living room, that sorted the paperwork out!! I didnt realise this sport was so dangerous, its supposed to be a stress buster for work, i have nearly lost my life twice already.

                    Many people don't!!
Model helicopters can and have killed people - treat them with the respect they deserve.

                    And enjoy it!
