  • Newbe with sim issues

Hi guy's, Can you help? I am new to the heli rc world as of yesterday having taken possesion of a honey bee king, I have tried to be sensible but it wont last and I see expense on a massive scale if a cant get the sim working. I have managed to download the free get you started FMS program but the esky transmitter wont link with it. I have tried all the different control configurations (I think) but the best I can manage is the left stick throttle control but even that wont work on the heli on the screen
    Can anyone help?
    Please

For reference - the tinyurl link above goes to: http://www.buzzflyer.co.uk/rc-helicopter-simulators.asp

The reason I post this is that tinyurl links have been abused in the past as it masks the real destination and viruses have been spread using this and other similar technologies. Your browser loads the page before you know what destination you've reached...

No offence meant, real URLs are better for everyone

            Sorted

Thanks chaps, the switches in the handset turned out to be the key along with the instructions I have now crashed 20 times without any outgoings.
thanks for your time I am sure I will have a thousand more questions over the next few months.
            Cheers

None taken Wasn't quite sure if you can point to other businesses. Some other forums don't allow it..

I used FMS before I had Phoenix and it will teach you the basics of helicopter flight, however it wont teach the flight physics when a heli gets into trouble.

In FMS a heli will stay in the air pretty much anyhow and lets you get away with many mistakes you wouldn't in real life.

When I moved over too Phoenix I had to learn all over again, in fact it was quite a shock, but learning a few skills is better than nothing, but for heavens sake don't fly your HBK thinking it'll fly like the one in FMS as your have quite a nasty surprise and if you want to keep the breakages down your need to tread very carefully, like having some good training gear on the skids for one.

If you can save for Phoenix I know it's expensive, but the training your gain will save you three times the spare parts your possibly have to buy without it, compared to the cost of the sim.

Please don't let this be a put off, trust me it'll be a right **** off seeing your lovely HBK with broken parts after a few seconds, so keep your heli safe on the table where you can adore her, yea were all the same and try and save a bit here and there for Phoenix, while you practice like mad on FMS, as in this hobby there's no such thing as too much training

                Good luck my friend.
