thanks guys! Nose in was less of a challenge than I was led to believe it would be, the expectation is that it's incredibly difficult but once I had calmed down I was managing quite well - just need to fathom banked turning now as the t-rex kept falling out of the turn (more to do with me than it though!)

A bit more rudder & back elevator required me thinks...Or enter the turn with a bit more forward speed if it's not making it through...Or less back elevator if you are slowing her down too much...Er...God knowsI actually prefer nose in to side on hovering

I think your right once you get over the fear factor nose in is not that bad. Although I have to add that Im finding Tail in Inverted to be very awkward, nose in is ok, but once the tail turns around I keep getting the elevator wrong. ggrrrr more pheonix practise needed

I find I'm fighting my brain all the time.

Yesterday had the Shuttle nose in but it started to drift quite a long way away from me.

I brought it back to me side on as I now find this more comfortable than tail in.

                Go figure

                Cheers

its also very easy to get handed in this hobby i.e prefer left hand turns to right hand turns. so I think you need to revisit very often everything youve already learnt.

Still it all makes it fun dunnit

Finally getting there I actually managed about 10 mins of controlled inverted tail in hovering on Pheonix last night normally I get confused on the elevator and stuff it in. Nose in inverted is nearly as easy as normal hovering now (must add this is in the sim not at the field)
