I have one of those , its great value for the money. My 500 hasn't been out the box since I got the 450 . I haven't crashed it yet and its given me a lot more confidence to move around a bit.
T Rex 600 n pro, Raptor 50 ( on the build table) T Rex 500 , Nano and a Blade 450 ,T Rex 250 ( still in box )
Aroura 9 , FF9 with specky mod , dx6i
Oh and loads of Planks.
I really enjoy flying my 250SE. It flies really smoothly, and is almost as good as an mCPX in terms of crash repair costs.
As long as you hit throttle hold before you go in, it seems to be relatively cheap to fix, if a little fiddly at times.
It's a lively little beast, next to useless on a windy day but is great fun.
If I am going away to the in-laws for a weekend it does not take up much boot space so I can still get my fix.
It fills the gap between the mCPX and 450 nicely in my opinion.
I like the 130-X. You can get away with a lot more than a 450. Basically any error with a 450 costs time and money. People with helis bigger than a 450, think a 450 is cheap to repair. The Blade 450 is good value now, except for the main blades. Fit the clone ones for under £5 plus washers (credit card size) as the grips are bigger. Glass fibre are ok and even cheaper. You will need a stock of blades and main shafts and feathering shafts and some servo gears.
OP I was in the exact same position as yourself, flying a 130x, wanted a bigger heli but couldn't decide, so plumbed for a HK450 V2 to see how I got on, not wanting to spend a fortune on something I couldn't get along with and I love it. Finished the build last night, have had several test take-offs and landings and I'm very pleased with it, settings need some fettling but I can't wait to get to my local field and open her up. Be aware though the power difference is immense but I've been told the larger heli's are easier to control than a small, skittish one.
Avoid the 250 like the plague. Horrible to work on. Very hard to get the tail to actually work ( on the se anyway) Very lively. Just go for the 450, but if you want a smaller heli go for the 130x. The 130 is so much more enjoyable heli to own and fly than a 250.

To late ! already parted with my hard earned. Looks like this is going to be my learning curve. Over the past year it would have been cheaper to have a cocaine habit. Anyhow safe flying chaps jim.
